過去のわたしが書いた言葉に、いまのわたしが絵を添える。

伝える相手を求めてこぼれおちた言葉は、インターネットのなかでしばらくたゆたっていました。それをわたしが陸に引き上げ、すこしずつ本という形にしていきました。
過去に書いたものに絵を添える作業は、自分であって自分でない誰かと向き合うような、すこし不思議な体験でした。

そんなふうに始まった、絵と言葉からなる『Letters』は、いまもなお、さまざまな読み手の方へ届き、新たな行き先を求めてわたしの家で眠っています。

本作のもととなったイラストは、2017年に吉祥寺・百年で展示も行いました。思い出深い作品集です。
